Eat, talk, and talk (and talk and eat)

I don’t know why European, they just love talking. Not generalising all European, but turns out it confirms in almost 100% of my cases, especially if they’re Italian, Spanish, and French. Don’t get me wrong, I love talking, but sometimes I just can’t stop them on fire.  What I love also, the body language. Not only it helps me understand the local language (for the handsome guys, they’d better talk that way), but it animates the conversation.

Italian, no doubt, with the talking hands, are so famous in parole world. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to strangers, then don’t stand up drinking your coffee at the bar, otherwise you’d be stuck in the crowd discussing yesterday’s football scores or cursing Berlusconi. That happened to me many times and ofcourse, I had to agree to whatever they said, otherwise they would keep chasing you with PERQUE????? Well, why meeeeee?

I once had dinner with friend in Rome, and we both talked alot, like…alot. Then the old owner of the trattoria commented from the corner Continue reading “Eat, talk, and talk (and talk and eat)”

ciao italia, bienvenue a Suisse!

Leaving Italy today,  so sad! It has been wonderful 10 days! From the smelly canals in Venice, Ponte Vecchio and David in Firenze, stunning vineyards in San Gimignano and Siena, lovely afternoon in Portofino ports, Bernini  and beautiful pebble stone alleys in Roma,  train strike in Santa Margherita Ligure, to got sprayed in Milan Carnivale! And all the gorgeous men J I’m so gonna miss you all!

Sebelum pergi ke Milano Cle, menyempatkan diri dulu pamitan ke Lleonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper – in Santa Maria Della Grazie.  Walaupun gak antri gila-gila an seperti di summer time, tetep direkomendasikan untuk book ticket online. Otherwise….gigit jari kayak kami 2 tahun lalu.

Continue reading “ciao italia, bienvenue a Suisse!”

Sampe Milan CLE jam 2 siang, dan langsung cari WC. Pastinya bayar aje 1 euro ! it’s Italy, nothing is free.  langsung ke biglietti office beli ticket ke Geneve besok. Gak pake panik sih, tapi langsung gue melancarkan bahasa-bahasa protes.

Alhamdulillah aman. Gaya gue sok milanista deh pokoknya. Biar gak diganggu gugat sama tukang copet. Maklum, trauma sama kejadian dicopet di metro Madrid.

Nah pas sampe piazzale baracca terjadi kebodohan. Continue reading “foamy bodies at milan carnival”

passing through Italian Riviera

Bangun cukup awal pagi ini, sempat leyeh-leyeh menikmati laut Ligure, a bit of sun salutation, dan menjadi tamu paling awal untuk breakfast! Jam 8 pagi gitu lho:p Gabungan antara udara dingin dan memang lapar dan rakus – gue makan croissant, cereal, youghurt, cafe, peach, sampai kiwi tart! Kenyang abis!

Continue reading “passing through Italian Riviera”

strike! gagal ke cinque terre

Alarm jam 7 tapi gue bener-bener baru bangun jam 9.30! merdeeee

Langsung ganti baju sarapan takut gak dapet sarapan. Semua transportasi publik on strike! Continue reading “strike! gagal ke cinque terre”

my past life in Portofino

Do you believe in the past life? And do you know some events in the past might be crossing line with your current life? Well, don’t ask me that questions. I have been to places in which, some said, were my territories, in the some centuries before. I went to those cities, way before I was told the story, which was assumed to – the need of my body to reminisce. So that explains, the urge to visit some places – just like that and without logical reasons.

Portofino, was one of the village I had been residing. In the past. So. To make it brief, here I am!

Continue reading “my past life in Portofino”

Santa Margherita Ligure : beaching in winter

Buon Giorno Roma! Time to move to the sea! Yes. I am going to Ligurian Sea today. The thought of the presence of the beach thrills me.  Woke up at 6 am and checked out at 07h.15. Journey of carrying luggage down 4 floors, began. And it rains.

5 minutes walking to Termini Station, having breakfast and catch the train to Santa Margherita Ligure at 08h.07. Sempet bingung ini tempat duduk gue mana, carozza nya bener 009, posti 111 corridore, tapi mana ya. Ternyata gue kelewatan.

Continue reading “Santa Margherita Ligure : beaching in winter”

Amor Roma : love the bunkbed

Love today…! Not only that I survived made bed on upper bunkbed, and managed to get down (i jumped to other side of the bed, since the stairs moved from my side to that side), and my french roomates are checking out, so i can move to lower bunk bed! So happy already in the morning! This, must be good start of everything!

Bangun jam 7.30 karena mereka packing, tapi bagus deh jadi pagi bisa langsung sarapan di living room, for 3 euros, buffet, quite nice! And receptionist helped me reserve a ticket at Galleria Borghese. Gue aja ngeyel.  Dari 2 option, jam 1 pm dan 5 pm, tentu gue memilih jam 1 pm dong biar gak kesorean. Jadi 12.30 gue harus kesana untuk pick up ticket., ooh thanks guys!

Then off to Vatican city, and to Basilica st.pietro…magnificent..! gak bosen gue memotret disitu. Terus liat antrian masuk basilica gila bener..tapi kok sayang ya kalo gue gak masuk..akhirnya gue antri. Great. Continue reading “Amor Roma : love the bunkbed”

Amor Roma

All day looong hujan. Untung payung selalu menemani.

Continue reading “Amor Roma”
